RF component specialist Richwave Technology is expected to enjoy another quarter of record revenues in the third quarter of 2016, buoyed by rising shipments of its Wi-Fi use power amplifiers (PA) as well as shipments of new products including switches and low-noise amplifier (LNA) ICs, the Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) cited market watchers as saying in a recent report.

Richwave generated record revenues of NT$523 million (US$16.4 million) in the second quarter of 2016. Revenues for June also climbed to a record high of NT$182 million. Growing Wi-Fi PA demand for 802.11ac-enabled devices led to the positive results.

Richwave posted revenues of NT$1.72 billion in 2015, up 24% on year, while net profits hiked 158% to NT$145 million. EPS for the year came to NT$3.26.

Richwave's profitability was affected negatively by fluctuations in foreign exchange rates in the first quarter of 2016, when its EPS reached only NT$0.50.
